Synplicity Sales Account Manager
Job Description and Requirements General Summary:
Responsible for the sales of the entire portfolio of Synplicity Business Group products and any additional products that may be allocated to the Synplicity Product Sales channel. Matrix manages and carries quota for Synplicity Product Sales team. Responsible for driving software tools and hardware sales associated with Synplicity Business Group (Haps Boards, Confirma, Identify and Synplify families and Design Services) associated with those products, sales education and competitive selling material out to the field, and for amassing and feeding back customer and competitive input from the field to the responsible business unit (BU). Sales leadership to account sales teams and to the business units. Have proven experience calling “high” and to help drive multi-million dollar, complex, solution based sales campaigns.
Job Responsibilities and Activities:
Serves as the primary contact for developing new business and structures business interactions to explore opportunities for new business within an allocated territory or strategic account as defined by the compensation plan. Anticipates, understands and exceeds the needs and expectations of customers.
Networks with GTS, Consulting, R&D, and Finance to collaborate on major contracts and provide business solutions. .
Activities include identifying and qualifying, prioritizing opportunities, and closing business to meet and exceed pre-established quotas. Profiles account structure, climate, competition and Synopsys opportunities and optimizes Synopsys resources to implement plan.
Assists in the identification of product enhancement, feeding back customer satisfaction to applications engineer and others.
Identify trends to forecast to respond to requests and inquires from executives and global team members by using data from select database and reports. Identifies and incorporates critical issues into account plans.
Responsible for developing complex technical sales plans, which may involve competitive displacements, or creative business agreements to meet or exceed pre-established quotas.
Works on problems of diverse scope and complexity and exercises judgment within general defined policies and practices to determine appropriate action with a general level of instructions on new assignments related to account opportunities. Works within a team and within a matrix organization.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience
· BS with typically 5-7 years experience in technical selling and/or supporting technical sales
· Requires a good knowledge of IC design cycle, strong communication skills, knowledge of the complete sales process, and the ability to interact with engineering and financial staff at all levels.
· Ability to grasp complex technical data and to communicate to a broad range of technical and non-technical people.
Sr. Synplicity Sales Account Manager
· Uses professional concepts to solve a wide-range of difficult problems in imaginative and creative ways. Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies.
· BS with typically 6-10 years related experience and 4-6 years in direct technical sales within the EDA or related industry and 2 years experience with Synopsys products.
