R&D Engineer, II

Job Description and Requirements

Job Description:

Working in the Solutions Group and responsible for implementation and validation of Designware cores in FPGA Prototype boards. Expected to be proficient in FPGA implementation of high-speed designs, HW board designs and to be good at problem solving and debugging with test equipments like DSO, Logic Analyzers, Network analyzers, etc . Will be responsible to maintain the HW lab and equipments with including minor repair/modifications of HW boards. Responsible for working with PCB vendors for board design and deliveries. Expected to have good communication skills as the HW engineer will be working with teams from multiple sites including other HW and SW/Firmware engineers.



Requirements:

Diploma or BS in Electronics and Communication with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

· Posses overall understanding of the FPGA design process and implementation in Xilinx/Altera FPGA families

· Knowledge of FPGA architectures such as Xilinx/Altera families for best utilization of design requirements would be an advantage

· HW board designs of minor complexity;

· Operating and debugging High-speed digital designs with test equipments

· Knowledge of HDL like Verilog and Simulator tools like VCS/MTI/NC, will be useful to have

· Knowledge of protocols in USB, Ethernet, PCI, domain will be an added advantage
