Software Integration Engineer, Sr II


Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible to support software development, integration and release, life cycle automation, and configuration management for the global Synopsys R&D teams.  Develops tools and scripts for configuration management, process automation, databases, and dynamic web pages.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in‑depth evaluation of various factors.  Assignments are given in the form of objectives.  Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.  Expected to analyze project areas, refine problem descriptions, and develop novel technical solutions.  Designs and implements sophisticated scripts to solve complex problems.  Writes papers for technical conferences.  Company expert in one technical area.  Must be capable of developing new methodologies and process flows. Must have outstanding multitasking, teamwork, communication skills, and be able to drive projects to completion.


Requirements:
BS in CS/CSE with 10+ years or MS with 8+ years of relevant experience in UNIX, Perl, shell scripting languages, programming languages including C  and C++, CGI and HTML. Significant experience with software integration and release, build tools (make/gmake, etc),  software configuration management tools  (RCS, CVS, Clearcase, Perforce, etc), and load balancing and productivity tools (Pure Tools, Coverity, LSF, GRID).  Multiple platform experience is highly desirable (Solaris, Linux, HPUX).
It is essential that the individual has strong desires to learn and explore new technologies and are able to demonstrate good analysis and problem solving skills.
