CAE II, CAE Sr I and CAE Sr II (Location:- Bangalore)

1. CAE, II

Description:

Corporate Applications Engineer working for the Solutions Group Business Unit in Synopsys. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing mainly post sales but also some pre-sales support for Synopsys' DesignWare Library IP. The CAE directly interfaces with customers to solve design issues or questions relevant to the DesignWare Library IP products. The types of issues include product installation, configuration, verification and protocol training. The CAE will be expected to support a wide range of IP, from AMBA AHB/AXI components to peripheral components, i.e. I2C, SPI, UART, timers. Through customer interaction, the CAE will be expected to drive existing and new product evolution by working closely with the product team members (i.e. marketing, product development). The CAE is also expected to communicate their applications knowledge through the creation of papers for technical conferences and the creation and review of other technical documentation and project specifications.

Requirements:

Qualified applicant will have a BSEE, MSEE preferred + 3 years relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA design of communications or consumer applications. Exposure to system-level intellectual property-based design preferred. An understanding of system design and logic design using an HDL language, synthesis, simulation and verification EDA tools is important. The ability to conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers is needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the desire to work in a fast paced environment, solving a wide variety of technical problems simultaneously. Occasional travel will be required.

2. CAE, Sr I

Description:

Corporate Applications Engineer working for the Solutions Group Business Unit in Synopsys. The qualified candidate will be responsible for independently providing, mainly post sales but also some pre-sales support for Synopsys' DesignWare Library IP. The CAE directly interfaces with customers to solve design issues or questions relevant to the DesignWare Library IP products. The types of issues include product installation, configuration, verification and protocol training. The CAE will be expected to support a wide range of IP, from AMBA AHB/AXI components to peripheral components, i.e. I2C, SPI, UART, timers. Through customer interaction, the CAE will be expected to drive existing and new product evolution by working closely with the product team members (i.e. marketing, product development). The Senior CAE is also expected to communicate their applications knowledge through the creation of papers for technical conferences and the creation and review of other technical documentation and project specifications, and the guidance of junior team members in the performance of similar duties.

Requirements:

Qualified applicant will have a BSEE +6years, MSEE + 4 years relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA design of communications or consumer applications. Exposure to system-level intellectual property-based design preferred. An understanding of system design and logic design using an HDL language, synthesis, simulation and verification EDA tools is important. The ability to conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers is needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the desire to work in a fast paced environment, solving a wide variety of technical problems simultaneously. Occasional travel will be required.

3. CAE, Sr II

Description:

Corporate Applications Engineer working for the Solutions Group Business Unit in Synopsys.
Responsible for providing mainly post sales but also some pre-sales support for the DesignWare Building Block IP and Datapath Components, and primarily presales support in engagements for the DesignWare minPower Components.

The CAE directly interfaces with customers to solve design issues or questions relevant to the DesignWare Foundation IP, Datapath, and minPower components to help achieve the best possible QoR. Through customer interaction, the CAE will be expected to drive existing and new product evolution by working closely with the product team members (i.e. marketing, product development). The CAE is also expected to communicate their applications knowledge through the creation of papers for technical conferences and the creation and review of other technical documentation and project specifications.

Requirements:

Qualified applicant will have a BSEE +8, MSEE +6 years relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA design of communications or consumer applications. Experience in synthesis, static timing analysis, data-path logic design, computer arithmetic(floating point, fixed point, and integer operations). Involvement in the design/synthesis of a chip that has gone to full production is highly desirable. An understanding of low power design, specifically low power data-path design, and experience in Digital Signal Processing design are extremely desirable, but consideration may be given to the right candidate even if neither of these criteria are met. Should be familiar with Tools: DC, PT, DFT Compiler, Power Compiler, VCS, and Formality, or equivalent. ICC, PTPX, Synplify Pro, highly desirable but not a requirement. The ability to conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers is needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required as well as the desire to work in a fast paced environment, solving a wide variety of technical problems simultaneously. Occasional travel required.
