Job Description and Requirements:- This position is based in Bangalore and will report to the Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Bangalore.
Working with the Senior Manager you will be responsible for the Platforms Engineering team in Hyderabad, India. This position is "hands-on" and requires excellent leadership, communications and technical software engineering skills. In addition, you must demonstrate integrity, be passionate, and deliver customer success through execution excellence.

Top level responsibilities include: leading and managing the Platforms Engineering team in Hyderabad, coordinating multi-site work including Bangalore, Shanghai and the U.S., recruiting and retention, product planning, and providing technical guidance to the Hyderabad platforms engineering staff.

Major team responsibilities include:

Multi hardware architecture delivery - To be successful, you must have the ability to take code that was developed on one specific platform, that may or may not compile on other platforms, and modify the code as necessary to compile in a platform independent manner, which produces the same results on all platforms as it does on the original platform. The object is for the same code to compile and link across all the platforms. You will also be responsible for debugging run time problems: tracking down the bugs, identifying the problem and providing the solution in a platform independent way

Requirements: 7-10 years of experience with 3/4 years as a technical manager providing "hands-on" leadership. Production experience with C, C++, UNIX and Linux on multiple platforms including Intel IA-32, IA-64, EM64T, Sun, IBM AIX; makefiles; and scripting (Perl, csh, sh). Experience on development of complex software projects and strong background in data structures and algorithms. Demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills. Must be a dynamic leader and passionate about team goals, and must possess outstanding multitasking, teamwork, and communication skills.
