Role and responsibilities:
Lead and direct the activities of a large team of applications consultants that support the Synopsys India IC design market. Drive initiatives in Synopsys products by working closely with the BU’s, and implement the technical initiatives as driven by Sales. Partner closely with regional sales management and India TST management to meet Synopsys’ business objectives and assure the successful deployment of Synopsys' products. Align with the Territory Sales Managers in India to drive the technical actions for Local Strategic and Territory Accounts. Align with our Global sales and support teams to drive the technical actions for the multinational accounts resident in India. Develop, improve and maintain the organization structure and processes in the AC teams in India to successfully meet and exceed the pre and post sales technical support demands from the rapidly growing India IC design industry. Ensure the technical and professional development of the AC management team and the team of engineers in India. Drive on-the-job employee development campaigns by working closely with Product Leverage Teams. Ensure the team is motivated and equipped to tackle customer challenges. Contribute as a leader in the India technical management team and drive India-wide and GTS-wide initiatives. Understand the reach of India customers throughout the globe, managing world wide activities for customers headquartered in India. Understand and advocate the technical issues of India customers back to the product development teams and Product Leverage Team Leaders. Be the conscience and champion for those customers' technical requirements at a management level within Synopsys. Interact with senior technical management in the customer base. Build relationship map with sales and own relationship with key customer contacts.
Reporting:
This position reports to VP of Application Consulting Asia Pacific.
Requirements:
Multiple years of Industry and management experience (10+ years of industry experience and 5+ years of experience managing large teams, with 2+ years of 2nd level of management preferred)
Must be strong in recruiting and performance management, and have a track record of building high performing teams. IC design and/or IC CAD background, deep understanding of high performance SoC design and design flows.
Engineering degree (Master or PhD on IC and/or Electronic Design preferred)
Strong teamwork to partner laterally with sales and with the Product Business Units.
Strong teamwork to work with Product Leverage Team Leaders and peers (i.e. 2nd level management in GTS)
Excellent customer handling skills and professional demeanor.
Extensive knowledge of EDA business and market.
Strong language skills in English.
