Software Engineer II (Perl/Python and UNIX shell programmer) Location:- Bangalore

Job Description:-

Responsible to support software development, life cycle automation for the global Synopsys R&D teams. Develops tools and scripts for process automation, databases, utilities and dynamic web pages.

Expected to identify classical solutions to problems with little guidance, and implement these independently. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Works primarily with manager and other engineers across teams.


Qualifications Overview

BSCS or BSEE, plus 3 years experience in software development and test automation.


Required Qualifications
• Solid expertise in Perl/Python and UNIX shell programming.

• Working knowledge of Databases and creating dynamic web-pages towards report generation.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Understanding of software development and test processes.


Nice to have Qualifications
• Exposure to GUI test automation

• Familiarity with test harnesses that work on any kind of load-share/job-scheduling framework

• Understanding of SCM tools; software build (Make), integration and release process.

• Working-knowledge of EDA/FPGA/ASIC tool flow would be a huge plus.
